Lifetime SF and Fantasy fan...favorite shows/movies include Star Trek, Babylon 5, Star Wars, Alien, Blade Runner, Firefly, LotR, and any and all of Ray Harryhausen's films. I am old school and love Stop motion stuff! Love Halloween! Love science and history...dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, deep sea and space exploration, etc. Tend toward political stories when reading: Dune, Asimov's Foundation, Riftwar, etc. but also like dystopian/steampunky stuff like China Mieville and Paolo Bacigalupi. Formerly into costuming, and still appreciate the craft though I don't have much time to do it myself any more. Enjoy board gaming (especially old games like FASA's Star Trek and SFBattles -- but I try new stuff too) and fantasy RPGing (D&D, etc.) Non-fandom related interests include gardening, sustainability, community resilience, and social issues.
